Orders will be ready for pick up the week of March 27th. ​Dental Health Contest: The Dental Health contest submission forms are also due back to the school by Friday, February 24th.

Keeping MES healthy

It is that time of year again. We have a large number of students out sick today. Nurse Margie reached out to the Ulster County Health Department. The New York State Department of Health is reporting influenza as “widespread” for the eighth consecutive week, with an increase in confirmed flu of 14% over the last week. Please practice frequent handwashing, cough etiquette, and keep ill persons home until symptoms have resolved for at least 24 hours. In short, let’s all work together to encourage our students to take steps (frequent hand washing, etc.) so we all stay healthy.

The District scheduled six (6) emergency closing days for the 2016-2017 school year. As of March 16, 2017 we have used one additional snow day and will need to make-up this day on April 10, 2017.

Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Information

Your child may have been exposed to pertussis (whooping cough). Since February 2017, the Ulster County Department of Health has seen an increased number of pertussis cases in Ulster County. Pertussis is an infection that affects the airways and is easily spread from person to person by coughing or sneezing.
